Awana:
Awana meets on Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:45 August-May. There are a variety of volunteers needed for this program:

-Commander (Oversee’s Awana’s Programing and Leaders)
-Club Leaders Teach The Following Age Group Classes:
2 year olds (Puggles)
3 and 4 year olds (Cubbies)
Kindergarten (Kindersparks)
1st & 2nd grade (Sparks)
3rd & 4th grade boys and girls (2 separate clubs)
-Listeners: Multiple listeners are needed for each class – determined by size of class
-Media Director (Wednesdays, 5:30-6:15pm)

Crossover:
Crossover is our 5th-6th grade department for Wednesday nights at 6:00-7:45pm, August-May. Students enjoy worship, snacks, games, Bible studies and small groups.

-Large Group Leaders (Who teach the curriculum)
-Student Small Group Leaders (Who listen to and pray with kids)

Upward Basketball and Cheerleading:
Our Upward Basketball and Cheerleading is a great program that mixes faith and sports and teaches kids about teamwork and Jesus. We need several volunteers in this program. Time commitments vary depending on position:

-Upward Basketball Coaches (Dec through Feb)
-Upward Cheer Coaches (Dec through Feb)
-Upward Referees (Saturdays, Jan – Feb)
-Upward Devotion Leaders (Saturdays, Jan – Feb)

-Upward Concessions Stand Workers (Saturdays, Jan – Feb)

Nursery Workers
There are two different kinds of Nursery Workers we are looking for to care for infants, toddlers and preschoolers on a rotation basis on Sunday mornings:

-Sunday School Workers (rotation year round, 9:30-10:30am)
-Worship Workers (rotation year round, 10:30-11:30am)

Children’s Sunday School:
Children’s Sunday School Meets each Sunday year round from 9:30-10:20am. We need 2 volunteers per class in the following age groups:

-3 & 4 year olds Teacher
-Kindergarten Teacher
-1 & 2 grade Teacher
-3 & 4 grade Teacher
-5 & 6 grade Teacher

Kid Celebration – Children’s Worship
Kid Celebration is our Sunday morning Worship (10:30-11:30am) for Children 5 years old to 4th grade. Volunteers serve in teams on a monthly rotation for 1 month out of the year. They lead kids in games, crafts and Bible Studies.

-Kid Celebration Leader (1 month a year on Sundays, 10:30-11:30)
-Kid Celebration Helper (Sundays, TBA 10:30-11:30am)

Special Seasonal Events
We are always looking for folks to help us pull off big events like Fall Fling, Easter Egg Hunt and other Big Church Events. If you can help plan, make phone calls, set up chairs, clean up after or take out the trash we want to talk with you!

Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is one of the biggest things we do with Children all year at FBC and we need you to help us pull it off. It happens the first full week of June every year from 6:00-8:45pm. We need various leaders in the following areas:

2nd grade

Remix:
Remix is what we call our youth Sunday School time that happens Sundays at 9:30 in the Tribe Building. Its snacks and a relaxed conversation about faith, scripture and God and how they apply to our lives as students. Each week we need teachers and somebody to bring the donuts!

Wednesday Night Tribe:
The youth meet on Wednesday nights in the Tribe Building for snacks, games, worship and Bible Study. We always need adults and youth on this night to help make things run smoothly:

-Greeting Team Lead (Wednesday Nights, 5:30-6:15pm)

Youth Small Groups:
Our Youth meet in homes to share a meal together, Study the Bible and Meet in small groups with their peers and an adult small group leader. Groups meet September – May with long breaks for holidays.

Chaperone Youth Events and Trips:
We need adults to chaperone events like Fall Retreat, Disciple Now, Lock-ins, Beach Trip, Tubing, Game Nights, Mission Trips etc. If you like hanging out with teenagers and eating junk food we want to talk with you about our next big event! Our Senior Adults have outings once a month, we play BINGO, go to plays, concerts and conferences. If you are young at heart, but have a heart for seniors we could use your help! For more info contact the pastor at chris@fbcmadisonville.org.

There are several opportunities to Serve taking care of our Buildings and Grounds. Some weekly, some quarterly workdays and some times we just need to know who to call when certain things break and need to be fixed, or who to call if we have a big project coming up that we need help with. For many years our church has offered a food pantry to folks in our community who need help with supplemental groceries. We unload, sort and bag the food. Then, Saturdays from 8:30-9:30am we talk to and pray with our clients and help them load the groceries into their cars. Clients hear a gospel message on the 4th Saturday of each month and we do not have food pantry on the 5th Saturday of the month.
